DEBORAH BAYARDINO
My passion is to improve balance in life. I have studied several bodyworks methods and techniques with focus on developing personal well-being in both Brazil and United States.
I hold Bachelors degrees in Social Communication and Contemporary Dance in Brazil from University Center of Brasilia and Universtity/School of Angel Vianna. I attended my first Alexander Technique lesson as a student in 2003, with Roberto Reveilleau and Valeria Campos, who both trained with Walter Carrington. My training as a teacher of the Alexander Technique was completed in 2010 after three years (1,600 hours) of study at the Oregon Center for the Alexander Technique-OCAT (Portland,OR - USA) which is recognized by the American Association of The Alexander Technique (AmSAT).
Before going through this training, I dedicated myself for many years to the re-educational movement field, to dance and to Pilates. In Brazil, I taught at Escola Angel Vianna, Espaco Pilates among other studios in Rio de Janeiro. I also maintained a strong private practice at elders' home.
In Portland, I have worked at Bodies in Balance and March Wellness-OHSU teaching Pilates and Alexander Technique. In June 2010, I assisted Rebecca Robbins, Director of the Oregon Center for The Alexander Technique, at the 'Alexander Technique Lecture Demonstration' at March Wellness-OHSU. I continue to have strong relationships with these organizations.
Currently, I am member of the Alexander Technique American Association (AmSAT-USA) and the Alexander Technique Brazilian Association (ABTA-Brazil).
I look forward to working with you to improve balance in your life.
